Great Delay Pedal with Small Enclosures (up to 8 presets)
I think this is a great compact delay pedal with up to 8 presets. Four presets for tape, lo-fi and ambient delay layer setting and another 4 for multi-head delay layer setting. I don't need a lot of time to understand how to use it properly and the manufacturer also provides downloadable pdf manual which is very informative.
I also have Source Audio Nemesis Delay at the same time so it helps me to understand how they work. This is more simple than nemesis delay since it doesn't have mobile apps or desktop editor and also less delay variations compared to nemesis delay. I love both clockwork delay v2 and nemesis delay, one will give me quick setting if I am on a rush and another one gives me deeper editing capability.
I found a used one for $160-180 which is basically almost the same price as most new non-preset capable digital pedal like boss DD7 or TC Electronic Flashback.
Clockwork delay v2 doesn't have time knob (as in miliseconds measurement) but instead its time knob is to select tap division (quarter, dotted eight, eight, etc). Also it seems that to change preset (ie. from preset 1 to 2) you need to tap twice, first tap is to change preset selector and the second tap to confirm the change. Also 4 taps minimum are required for the tap tempo to take effect.
Having said that, it is a great pedal and the auro regen sweep feature is a plus too as it feels like having someone turns the regen knob (number of repeat) while you are playing. It gradually increase the repeat and slowly subsides after releasing select-tap/variation switch.
