Great tone and smoooooth feel.
These are pure nickel strings that GHS puts through part of the flat wound smoothing process, which they call burnishing. I find they have the smooth feel of a flat wound with the bright, grindy tone of a roundwound. They wear out fast! I like to record with these sometimes if one of my guitars is sounding a bit harsh on tape. Its like a subtle EQ adjust. They're also great for parts with lots of fatiguing sliding about on E, A and D.

In Comparison To The D'addario EXL110's Theres A Warmer Tone, Less Highs, And Bit More Bass. Made In MICHIGAN!! (Sorry, I'm From Michigan And It's A Great State.. Plus I'm A Geek.. So.. Yeah.) Switched To The Because I'm On A Tone Mission To Find The Best Sounding Pair of Strings. Miss The Highs The My D'addarios Had, But It's Nothing That A Preamp Can't Fix.
