Description
The Gibson Kirk Hammett "Greeny" Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar is a masterful homage to the legendary Les Paul of Peter Green. This exceptional piece of music history, now owned by Kirk Hammett, has been meticulously recreated, allowing guitarists worldwide to experience the unique tone that defined a generation of music.
The heart of this guitar lies in its custom Greenybucker pickups, designed to replicate the original PAF humbuckers. Notably, it's the neck pickup, with its reversed magnetic polarity, that produces the distinctive out-of-phase sound that graced classics such as "The Green Manalishi" and "Black Magic Woman." Combined in the middle switch position, they deliver a captivating, bell-like chime that's perfect for expressive lead playing.
Beyond its innovative pickups, the "Greeny" Les Paul Standard boasts premium specifications that reflect the golden era of Les Pauls. Its solid mahogany body and hand-selected AAA flame maple top deliver a balance of depth and clarity, while the chunky late '50s mahogany neck provides a comfortable playing feel. The Indian rosewood fingerboard and the classic trapezoid inlays add an authentic touch.
The commitment to detail extends to the guitar's visual aesthetic. From the worn cherry sunburst finish to the dents and dings, every aspect of Peter Green's iconic Les Paul has been faithfully replicated. The Gibson Kirk Hammett "Greeny" Les Paul Standard is more than just a guitar; it's a piece of musical history, waiting to be discovered anew.

In this Instagram post Jack White posts a photo with the Gibson Kirk Hammett Greeny Les Paul Standard. The caption reads:
Guitar slaying maestro Kirk Hammett of Metallica was kind enough to send me one of his new remakes of the famous "Greeny" guitar the original of which now resides with him. Owned by Peter Green, and Gary Moore, it is well known for its accidental out of phaseness from the neck pickup being upside down and wired "wrong" etc. You really can hear it up around the 15th fret in my opinion, that's where it sings. So of course I had to send Kirk a fresh new Triplecaster in the interest of reciprocity! Thanks again sir. #kirkhammett #greenieguitar #jackwhite #metallica
