Greatest SG!
It's my fathers guitar that I sometimes use if I'm recording a cover of an older song that needs that old sound. It's such a pretty finish as well.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
I roll off the tone a bit on the neck pickup cause it "shrieks" a bit when you drag your fingers across the strings.

This Gibson Firebrand "The SG" Standard was owned by Mike Campbell. There is some buckle rash on the body. A decent amount of dents and scratches on the bout of the guitar and sides. The action is currently pretty high and this will benefit from a set up. The headstock has a small chunk taken out of it by the treble side tuning pegs. The pots are a bit scratchy as well but still function.
According to an article by Guitar World, MJ Lenderman utilized a Gibson Firebrand "The SG" from 1979 during performances at Chicago’s Lincoln Hall. The article states, "For the majority of the songs, captured at the Lodge Room in L.A., Lenderman played a Fender Jazzmaster through Vox AC15 and Fender Deluxe combo amps, while the remainder of the tracks, from Chicago’s Lincoln Hall, saw him using his ’79 Gibson Firebrand SG and a Fender Blues Deluxe combo."
