King V KVXT Review: First, the EMG pickups. I bought this guitar to have the... | Jackson | Electric Guitars | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The Jackson King V KVXT offers a mix of affordability and quality with its X series. While the build is solid and the hardware impressive, the stock EMG pickups underperform, particularly for lead work, though they excel with power chords. The guitar's sustain is lacking compared to competitors like Les Paul and Telecaster. Despite being top-heavy, it remains reliable and durable. The initial setup requires adjustment to eliminate fret buzz, which is disappointing at this price point. Overall, a decent mid-range option, but enhancements are necessary to reach its full potential.
