Joyo JF-314 Husky Drive review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Joyo JF-314 Husky Drive impresses with its ability to mimic the sought-after OCD pedal, delivering a sweet, amp-like drive that excels across rock and blues genres. It's particularly effective with humbuckers, adding thickness to single coils and enhancing the sound of barre chords and solos. The high/low peak switch offers versatile clipping options. While not groundbreaking, this pedal's true-bypass and value-for-money make it a solid choice for guitarists seeking a reliable drive pedal without breaking the bank.

Best Mini Overdrive Pedal

Husky is just a nice word for FAT and this pedal sounds extremely fat. Many of us will rarely get the wide throbbing sound of power amp distortion and that is where the Husky Drive shines. All the beautiful overtones you can get of a tube amp that has been pushed to the edge are now at your fingertips in the form of this tiny pedal. The HIGH and LOW switch makes it even more flexible. Many pedals try to master this category of stomp box and never has one gotten as close as the Husky Drive.
