Description
Introducing the Neumann TLM 107 Black, a dynamic studio microphone that marries classic Neumann quality with modern functionality. This large-diaphragm microphone offers unparalleled sound reproduction, capturing everything from the softest whispers to the loudest drum beats with equal precision. The TLM 107 is not interested in imitating a vintage sound, instead, it is dedicated to delivering a detailed, high-precision sound reproduction that remains faithful to the original source.
The TLM 107 boasts a newly-developed sound transducer designed specifically for this microphone, ensuring outstanding impulse fidelity. It offers five polar patterns including omnidirectional, cardioid, and figure-8, with additional intermediate patterns of wide-angle cardioid and hypercardioid. This ensures optimal sound across the entire frequency range for all directional characteristics. The TLM 107 offers a balanced sound, with a linear reproduction up to 8 kHz and a slight boost in the highest frequencies for added vocal presence.
The TLM 107 also stands out with its innovative operating concept. All the microphone switch functions are controlled intuitively through a navigation switch. The pattern display is illuminated in the chrome ring, and the pad and low cut status are displayed by LEDs on either side of the switch. The controls are located on the back of the microphone to avoid distracting performers.
