Not the best tool for recording acoustic guitar videos
I use my phone to take videos of ideas and rough drafts, but thought this would improve the sound. It's a stereo condenser mic that can do midside, so I was excited. However, you can only record audio or video through the Shure Motiv apps, which are slow and the video quality is lower than my phone's camera app. Mic can be annoying to set up with all the options from gain, eq, compression, limiter, de-noiser etc. The 4 polar patterns take a minute to load. The self noise is very high. This will plug into your phone so getting a good video frame, that also put the mic in a good spot for audio recording is hard, and definitely not ideal. This is more for video selfies really. Just not the best tool for acoustic guitars like i hoped. Also editing would be required to get the midside, because its raw midside, so you would have to grab the file, split it, double the side track, flip the polarity, hard pan the side tracks and then adjust the volumes. so a lot of editing for something that doesnt even sound as good as a handheld recorder. Really a disappointment. I'll give it 2 stars since it wasnt made for my purposes though and is a cool innovation at least.
