The Governors Blues from Smiletone Audio is made in the USA, hand soldered and hand wired to ensure optimum reliability for stage and studio performance. The Governors Blues is a two in one reproduction of two classic British pedals made famous in the 80’s. One side is a faithful recreation of the Governor and its high gain and stacked amp tone. Settings can go from a nice overdrive to a big- rock monster while the three band EQ consisting of high, mid and low will allow for fine tuning for any situation. The other side is the classic tone of a Bluesbreaker which can go from a slightly pushed amp for an excellent blues tone on a Strat or a full on overdriven, saturated sound like cranking the volume to 10. Each side can be used individually to get two distinct sounds or used together. Placing the high gain side first allows the lower gain side to act as a boost for leads and a little extra grit if it is utilized in dual mode. Taking two classic designs and placing them in one unit will leave a lot of room for experimentation and tone-sculpting options. Dual true bypass switching was also added to prevent tone loss and the Governors Blues can run off of a standard 9V battery or Boss/1spot adapter at 9V or 18V for more headroom.Two familiar classics combined into one pedal.
