Critic Reviews

Microsoft Surface Headphones 2 review - SoundGuys

soundguys.com

The Microsoft Surface Headphones 2 delivers solid performance with an attractive design and impressive multipoint connectivity, making it a strong contender in the ANC headphone market. However, it falls short in areas like battery life and the inability to disable ANC without enabling ambient passthrough. The touch-sensitive controls can be overly sensitive, leading to accidental interruptions. While these headphones are a decent choice for conference calls and casual listening, they don’t quite match the noise-canceling prowess of competitors like Sony and Bose. Overall, they offer good value for those on a budget, but may not satisfy audiophiles seeking top-tier features.

Microsoft Surface Headphones 2 review: perfect for work-from-home life - The Verge

theverge.com

Microsoft's Surface Headphones 2 deliver a solid balance of style and functionality, with standout dial controls and improved battery life. While their multipoint Bluetooth support impresses, the sound quality doesn't quite rival top competitors like Sony and Bose. Comfort issues arise from the headband, which may leave your head sore after extended use. Despite some shortcomings, especially in audio performance, these headphones present excellent value at a more reasonable price point, making them a commendable option for everyday use.

Microsoft Surface Headphones 2 Wireless Review - RTINGS.com

rtings.com

The Microsoft Surface Headphones 2 offer a comfortable fit and great active noise cancellation, but they struggle with sound consistency and overall performance. While the design remains sleek and controls intuitive, the bass-heavy sound profile lacks balance, and treble delivery can be disappointing. Additionally, their bulky design and high latency for gaming make them less versatile than competitors in the same price range. Ultimately, they excel in noise isolation but fail to impress sonically, leaving them as a decent, yet flawed option for discerning listeners.

negative

Microsoft Surface Headphones 2 review | TechRadar

techradar.com

Microsoft's Surface Headphones 2 deliver an impressive blend of comfort, functionality, and sound quality at a competitive price point. The warm soundstage and exceptional noise cancellation make them perfect for everyday use, especially during commutes or flights. However, the sound lacks some detail in the treble frequencies, which may disappoint audiophiles seeking precision. Additionally, their design feels somewhat ordinary and may not appeal to those looking for a standout aesthetic. Overall, these headphones are a solid choice for casual listeners and represent great value for money.

Great set of wireless headphones

I preordered these from the Microsoft Store, and while they came late (you'd expect them on release day from a preorder), I am very happy with them. The sound quality and ease of use is awesome, and the ability to use them with a 3.5mm line is great too because I can use them both for music and leisure.
