Vox StompLab IIG review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Vox Stomplab IIG is a compact, affordable multi-effects unit that shines in versatility and stage-readiness. Praised for its wide sound range and user-friendly design, it hosts 120 memory slots with 100 presets, making it ideal for both novices and seasoned players. The inclusion of an expression pedal adds to its value, offering control over volume and effects like wah. However, navigating its screen can be cumbersome due to abbreviation-heavy displays. While editing capabilities are somewhat limited, the unit’s robust build and impressive sound quality make it a great buy for the price.

Mid Level Multi Effects Pedal

This pedal sounds great in an R&B guitar setup. The sounds that have been heard on many R&B recordings seem to be programmed into the stomplab IIG, which makes it easy to use. Even the unlist un program channels have tweetable features that go well with the pedal-to-amp simulated sounds. Updating this pedal will be fun I've had it for a couple of years still learning it. I want it to pay for itself a couple of times before purchasing better. The most useful pedal needs always to be plugged separately I've gotten frequency noise from the vox pedal that I just clear up by plugging on its wall wart time to get a new power station

Great, multipurpose, all-in one.

Just don't think twice! Sooo many settings that are almost infinitely tweakable... Simply excellent for emulating most sounds out there sometimes pretty accurately, sometimes just perfectly, or even finding that tone you have in your head. I suppose the only thing it couldn't do would be a really big, organic tube amp sound... But hey, that's your excuse for getting a good amp!

Great value for the price

-What I do like: the number of different effects, the size, the expression pedal, build in tuner; bypass etc, quite easy to use when you once read the manual, and the price .
-What I do not like: some effects (especially the cabinet/amp style modulations), the fact that the power cable is an extra, the difference in volume between different effects, and sometimes in bypass mode, you have some cuts in the sound

Great sound; with AUX in this would be unbeatable

I'm very happy with the sounds on this, and it is a huge step up from my Korg Pandora Mini. It is no more or no less user-friendly than other multieffect units of its site and price range. However, it does not have an AUX in, which is essential to my silent practice, so I will be replacing it in my rig in the future.

cobraxvenom

great pedal

This peddle is really great for only 90 bucks! it can simulate many different amps and has a LOT of different settings and effects for your playing. The only problem is that the reverb and chorus settings aren't the greatest and the instructions don,t give a lists of effects and amps;however, a quick check online can solve that problem. 8/10 would reccomend

The Vitality

The Stomplab 2G is a vital part of my effects rig. Without it. many of my most well-known songs like Kerianne, Forever December, Window In The Skies, and Ballad of Lover's Flight would not have happened. It's wah pedal is a bonus that allows me to control the parameters and really technical aspects of my rig in real time unlike the Nux MG-100 Processor taht was in my rig for the REVEAL album and parts of the WORLD MAGNETIC album too. This is a vital piece of gear that if I did not have then I would not be the guitarist I am today. I would recommend it to anyone.

Good multi-effect for begginers

For the price it is pretty good, I have it for 2 years and still use it. If you are a begginer and you want to buy some affordable multi-effect pedal I think this one is worth it.

sebas_hernandez

nice for starting on pedals.

You save atleast 5000 dollars on pedals, and then you can start your real pedalboard.

sonnguyen

This is a worth-considered effect board!

Quite many effects, sounds good, small enough to put in the guitar pack's pocket but extremely hard to edit(because they minimize all of them into only 3 switch). Totally affordable!
