Vox ToneLab ST review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Vox ToneLab ST is a compact multi-effects pedal that offers a solid range of tones and serves as a handy USB audio interface for recording. Its strengths lie in its USB connectivity, compact size, and versatile tones, making it ideal for home practice and studio use. However, it lacks flexibility in live settings due to limited effects combinations and no individual effect switching. While it excels in providing a variety of sounds for recording, live performers might find the lack of real-time control limiting. Overall, it's a great tool for recording enthusiasts.

An interessting way to have multiple sound

The vox tonelab ST is really interessting if u want to have multiple sound without a large purse. She gives all the effect which are usefull to have an experimental sound, some aren't a really great modulation of the original pedal and the possibility to only put 2 effect in the same time can be reductive, but the Wah-Wah, the Leslie simulation, the Tube OD/Boutique/Fuzz simulation are simply brilliant coupled with a delay/chorus/flanger or even a pitch shifter (configured on the wah wah which gives an interesting way to simulate a Whammy) give a lot of possibility to have a first impression to how get a sound like Gilmour or Morello.

The negative point of the pedal is the way to configure the effect, sometimes he is simple and effective and sometimes it's just annoying to correctly configure it, at the begin u always need the user manual at ur side because u will not really know what u doing '

The amp modulator are all good and the possibility to put an headphones directly on the pedal allow you to diversifiate your sound more than ever when u begin.
