This is my #1 guitar. I use this guitar every time I go onstage. It has a solid build and great playability. The low action is ideal for all styles of playing and the sound is quite versatile. The standard Les Paul volume/tone controls allow the player to dial in the perfect tone. The Neck pickup provides a warm almost syrupy tone for southern rock, blues, and jazz. The bridge pickup provides more of a crisp bright sound, ideal for clean leads and high gain applications. Both pickups are equipped with coil-taps, which at a slight decrease in volume, exchange the warm sound of humbuckers to the crisp tinny sound of single coils without the hum. There is also a phase switch that can be activated while both pickups are on.
I've had this guitar for a little over 5 years at this point, and it has been and still is my favorite instrument that I own. While I have many guitars for different types of music, this guitar is the one that I use for everything.
My only complaint is that the wiring is complicated and has a tendency to come loose. That being said, it's a minor problem that anyone with any soldering experience can fix.
I would recommend this guitar to any musician regardless of genre or style. This guitar is the best you're going to get at this price range, and in my opinion, it outplays some Gibson guitars. Save the money and buy Epiphone.
