Critic Reviews

Astro A50 Wireless review - SoundGuys

soundguys.com

The Astro A50 Wireless headset promises a premium gaming experience with its comfortable fit, good sound, and long battery life. However, it falters where it counts. The build quality is questionable, with a problematic headband and a mic that underperforms. Priced at $300, it feels like a letdown, especially when the basics aren't up to par. Connectivity issues with its base station add to the frustration, making it hard to justify the hefty price tag. There are more reliable options available that offer similar features for less. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Astro A50 Headphones review on hardforum.com

hardforum.com

The Astro A50 Wireless Headset delivers strong gaming audio, making it appealing for serious players, but it comes with notable caveats. Priced steeply at $300, it promises an immersive experience but stumbles with persistent technical issues like hard reset problems and finicky charging. While the sound quality is commendable, the reliability concerns prevent it from being a top-tier recommendation. Users appreciate its comfort for extended use, yet frequent glitches and a lack of a robust warranty are significant drawbacks. For audiophiles seeking a wireless gaming headset, the A50 is a mixed bag, offering impressive audio but marred by ongoing issues.

Astro Gaming A50 Wireless Headset + Base Station Review | PCMag

pcmag.com

Astro Gaming A50 dazzles with impressive sound quality and comfort, but its steep price in a competitive market is hard to ignore. The sleek charging cradle is a standout, yet its console compatibility is limited, and the microphone could be clearer for the cost. Despite these drawbacks, it's a top-tier choice for those prioritizing wireless gaming audio, though options like SteelSeries Arctis Pro might offer more at a similar price point.

Amazing 5.1 Surround Sound Headphones

Originally purchased for college use and cinematic / audio-visual scores; I've increasingly noticed that these headphones are amazing for both Stereo Mixdowns and 5.1 Surround Sound Mixdowns in most of my other tracks; after using these headphones I have noticed that car mixes become more precise and with the EQ it is easy to hear what my track would sound like on other low or high end systems.
