Description

Introducing the Catalinbread Royal Albert Hall (RAH), a guitar pedal that redefines the boundaries of overdrive effects. This pedal is not just an instrument, but a time machine that transports you back to the historic Royal Albert Hall concert in 1970 where Jimmy Page crafted an unprecedented spectrum of tones.

The RAH encapsulates Page's custom Hiwatt head dynamics, delivering an exceptional dynamic range that responds to the intensity of your picking hand or volume knob adjustments. Just like a high-quality amplifier, the RAH is uncompressed, leaving no room for hiding, and is perfect for musicians who appreciate the rewards of a broad dynamic response.

The three-knob tone circuit, straight from the custom "Jimmy Page" model Hiwatt, is at the core of this pedal. The Treble, Mid, and Bass controls are highly interactive, allowing for endless possibilities in tone shaping. Dialing the Mid and Bass controls in cohesion unveils the real magic, providing the ideal tone for your guitar and amp.

Excellent.

Responds very well to picking dynamics just like an overdriven amp. Gain on the pedal itself is limited with single coils but it gets much hotter with boost. Again, just like a real amp. EQ seems to be lower mids. By itself, it growls more than it crunches. Complaints about its limited range seem incorrect. Pickups, boosts, and its own 3 band EQ controls give a lot of options. See video demonstration from Catalinbread.

This pedal rocks it has helped clean up my picking attack and just playing in general. It's super sensitive to picking it rings nice when picking softly and gets gritty when called upon. Taught me to use my pickups and selector switches . Recommended.

YES! you don't need a lot of pedals to get lots of tones, just a good core sound and some dexterity with the controls that come stock on your guitar...
