New Gear: Electro-Harmonix #1 Echo | Guitar Gear

guitargear.org

The Electro-Harmonix #1 Echo is a straightforward delay pedal that delivers just what it promises: uncomplicated delay without any frills. While its true bypass and 2-second delay capabilities are commendable, the pedal's simplicity is both its strength and its limitation. Users praised its affordability and basic function but noted the blend control could overshadow the dry signal if not adjusted carefully. This no-nonsense pedal suits those seeking a simple slap delay, but may not satisfy those looking for more versatility or additional effects. At $99, it's a low-risk option for straightforward needs.

A decent delay

A decent delay for people who know how to mess with the time knob, however if you’re used to fixed time/ boss delays with different types built in this is not the one for you…

Great great great great...

Cool digital delay pedal - clean and pristine. Combined with the Muff you get that David Gilmour lead tone. The only issue is the blend signal has a natural volume drop (just like almost any other EHX delay pedal).

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Blend - 9:30 - 10:30 Time - around 14:00 Feedback - 11:00

Pop pop pop

That was the sound I heard every time I engaged this pedal. The switch would open up the gates to a pop due to the circuit holding onto current that couldn't be released until the next time it was engaged. Not an issue for some pedals but echos and delays, it just goes on forever, pop...pop..pop. I would stay away from this unit unless you are using an effect looper or are keeping it on 100% of the time.

P

Analogique mais grandiose

On peut faire beaucoup de choses avec cette petite pédale hyper costaud avec i' court Delay ou au choix !!!
