Genelec 8320A & 8330A APM

soundonsound.com

The Genelec 8320A SAM Studio Monitor impresses with its high-level sonic performance and seamless integration with the GLM 2.0 room calibration system, making it a standout choice for professionals working in varied acoustic environments. Its compact size and included accessories like the measurement microphone and control network hub enhance its appeal, especially for mobile or small studios. Genelec 832OA & 833OA Review

musictech.com

The Genelec 8320A SAM Studio Monitor receives high praise for its precise sound stage and openness, thanks to its innovative SAM room calibration system. While initial single-point calibrations may leave bass lacking punch, multi-point calibration dramatically improves the listening experience, providing a tighter, more natural bass response. Although the monitors might seem feature-light at first glance, their sophisticated performance is a standout. However, users may need to pair the 8320A with a subwoofer for complete frequency coverage. Overall, these monitors excel in clarity and detail, making them a worthwhile investment for those seeking high-quality sound in well-calibrated environments.

Imaging for days

Great monitors. I replaced some much larger 8" monitors with these since I realized I did most of my writing and mixing on headphones and wanted something more compact in the studio. They deliver, and one day soon I'll treat myself to a 7350APM subwoofer to flesh out the low end.

But really, these things are great for the size and are perfect for referencing everything from about 80 Hz up flawlessly. I still write and produce using headphones most of the time, and these do almost everything that the cans don't.
