Great guitar!
Love the slim neck profile and the electronics (490R neck pickup and 491T bridge pick) provide me with a rich, beefy tone. Gorgeous color. My only complaint is with the stock tuning machines- about to swap them out for locking ones.

If it isn't staying in tune try the nut, Gibson always have nut issues where they don't cut the nut properly, try that before spending a fair bit of money on decent locking tuners

Liam is right. Its probably binding at the nut. The tiniest imperfection in the nut slots will cause tuning problems on a guitar with angled pull on the strings. Locking tuners will not alleviate the problem completely and they will require a you to mod the guitar in a way that will damage resale. You will be better off gently sanding each string slot on the nut with some fine, wet sandpaper to de-burr and polish the grooves. Then get a mechanical pencil and cover the grooves with graphite to help the strings slide smoothly. You will find this basic, low-cost tech solution will work wonders. Also, Gibsons are finicky about tuning stability and setup. Depending on how the neck got set they can be partial to certain action height. Its something I suss out thru trial and error.
