This month I am featuring a Black LP Special from ‘92 ,and it’s very close to the original one I owned for the HITS tour (1990). 30 years ago when the tour began and I would always open the show for “I Stole Your Love” using this model guitar. It features cream binding, and a rosewood fingerboard. I upgraded the pickups to Dimarzio’s, DP 154, and 162 DLX Plus, both great sounding mini humbuckers. I added gold bonnet knobs and pickup toggle tip add contrast. I don’t know when I sold the original, but this one is very close in features, tone and vibe. A cool sound, with the mahogany body and these unique pickups. Black finish, for KISS coolness. #dimarziopickups #gibson #lespaulspecial #hitstour #kisstory #guitarofthemonth
