The SG ´61 Standard VC LH by Gibson
The Gibson SG 61 Standard in Vintage Cherry Left-Handed is a modern recreation of the iconic early-1960s SG design, delivering the legendary Gibson tone, lightweight feel, and fast playability that made the model famous. Built with a solid mahogany body and SlimTaper mahogany neck, it offers excellent upper fret access and a resonant, punchy sound suited for rock, blues, and classic hard rock styles. The pair of 60s Burstbucker humbuckers provide vintage-inspired warmth with clear highs and dynamic response, while Orange Drop capacitors enhance tonal clarity and responsiveness. Its gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish, vintage-style hardware, and classic small pickguard capture the authentic look and feel of the original SG Standard models from 1961. The left-handed configuration makes it an ideal premium option for southpaw players wanting authentic Gibson craftsmanship and classic SG character.

Sehr gute Gitarre
This guitar is visually my absolute dream guitar. The sound of the pickups is direct and rock‑oriented. The neck dive can be prevented well enough with a wider leather strap. The guitar is super lightweight, which makes it great for playing while standing. It holds its tuning well, and sometimes it even stays in tune for almost a week.
The guitar arrived very poorly set up, which cost me quite some time to make it playable at all. I also had to buy the Gibson truss‑rod tool separately, otherwise the truss rod couldn’t be adjusted.
I also find the frets too low, because during bending my fingers touch the wood. But all in all, it’s a great guitar.
