Critic Reviews

Lexicon Omega

soundonsound.com

The Lexicon Omega shines as a cost-effective, high-quality USB audio interface with excellent sound and versatile features. Its standout attributes include great mic preamps, bundled Pantheon reverb, and cross-platform compatibility, making it a solid choice for desktop musicians and mobile setups alike. However, the initial lack of ASIO drivers and limited Apple support may frustrate users wanting to integrate the Omega with broader software options. Despite these minor setbacks, the Omega’s intuitive design and reliable performance offer great value, particularly for those seeking simplicity without sacrificing audio quality.

Lexicon Omega USB audio interface review

creativemedia.org.uk

The Lexicon Omega promises much with its revered brand name and appealing features like phantom power and MIDI connectivity. However, it ultimately disappoints with significant reliability issues, including signal interruptions and connectivity problems. Its impractical, cumbersome design and limited software compatibility further detract from its appeal. While it can perform adequately in certain scenarios, the Omega is marred by its frustrating electronics and awkward form factor, making it hard to recommend. Overall, it's plagued by more cons than pros, earning it a low score.

Review: Lexicon Omega — AudioTechnology

audiotechnology.com

The Lexicon Omega offers an enticing combination of affordability and functionality for those entering the world of USB audio interfaces. Its standout features include multiple input options, high-quality mic preamps, and a commendable software bundle, especially for PC users. The inclusion of Lexicon's Pantheon reverb is a notable plus. However, it lacks USB 2.0 support and needs more universal drivers for broader software compatibility. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Omega's robust performance and impressive audio quality make it a solid choice for budget-conscious musicians seeking versatility without compromising on sound.

Beast!

for the price it is by far one of the best external soundcards to start out with. I still use mine with spdif so both computers in studio can record and send sound to eachother. after years of use I do need to think about getting the pots cleaned. the install is a little fussy but after its running it never fails.

It has just about everything you want on a portable unit.

I love everything about it. From it's 2 mic conection, built-in pre amp, it's multi lines, it's portable. So I can take if I need it with me.
