Outdated but useful

This is a very convenient interface, and I like how it sounds. Though it only has two XLR inputs, the multitude of outputs is refreshing for multichannel work. The headphone amps and preamps are nice. The design is rather hideous but it also looks like it belongs in a studio so who cares :D

Back in the days

It used to be a good tool for recording and playing live, but the firewire technology was pretty inflexible. It wasn't really plug and play, but was it worked, it was stable.

Old but good

Its a old interface now, but very capable. Preamps usable for vocals, and you can make professional recordings with.

max_hawley

Use space on the desk, solid for the price but firewire.

I use a duet for my main interface but when i need more input that 410 is always there !

The only thing i don't like about this audio interface is Firewire. Would have preferred Thunderbolt or USB

Good to record built-in audio

“I use the Oxygen 8 v2 and FireWire 410 on the road with my laptop. The Oxygen 8 is for fooling around, composing on the road, and just jamming on the bus to keep me from going bored from country to country. I usually jam on the bus with the Oxygen 8, FireWire 410 and Ableton Live.”
