Critic Reviews

M-Audio Keystation 88es review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The M-Audio Keystation 88es offers budget-conscious musicians an affordable full-size MIDI keyboard. With responsive, semi-weighted keys, it's a solid option for those seeking a grand piano companion without breaking the bank. However, its construction shows its price point with flimsy pitchbend and mod wheels, and a plasticky feel. While the lack of hammer-action may deter some pianists, the 88es excels in its niche as a cost-effective player keyboard, fulfilling its role admirably for those prioritizing value over advanced features.

I love this keyboard

I've had this keyboard for almost 15 years and I still use it regularly. I wouldn't compare it to my S88, but for the price, it's the best 88 key I've ever come across.

Works well for a controller

Nothing fancy. No piano action, no pads or knobs. Simple plug and play. When all you need is an 88 note keyboard to plug your gear into, this is it.

pierce

This 88-key MIDI controller is how Pierce writes his chords, leads, etc.

hellomynameisgavin

Affordable thing that is just useful.

Cheap, affordable, and its got full 88-keys. Semi-weighted so i can semi-feel like I'm playing a piano. And there really isn't anything more to it than that. Its simple and i like it.

lucas_puskaric

Basic midi keyboard

Works well for what it does.

I enjoy the full keys rather than the half some keyboards have

N

Great master keyboard, especially for traveling and having 88 keys!!
