A fun grid of sound

I used to use this thing all the time along side with my Launchpad Mk2 as some of my very first midi controllers. I used it a lot with Live and I still have yet to learn how to set up the cool light show feature when paired with a certain program. I love how small this thing is too, I can easily take it with me whenever I go vacation somewhere because it fits nicely in any backpack and takes up very little space.

BEST MIDI Controller I Ever Had

For launchpad, all of them are technically the same except the better version has more fancy RGB and maybe a few more button. Back then the launchpad mini cost like $80 so getting it as my first MIDI controller was like the best thing ever.

From drum making session to Live DJ Session, it is still my all time favourite controller

Great Product, Great Price.

I received the launchpad mini as a gift for Christmas (2015) and after extensive testing and using the launchpad mini, I'm deciding to give an informative review. The Launchpad Mini is slightly smaller than it's big brother and it surprisingly light and portable. It's also low profile, meaning it wont get caught up when you pull it out of a backpack, bag etc. It has full functionality with most D.A.W's (Digital Audio Workstation) such as FL Studio or Ableton. The Launchpad Mini, like it's big brother, the Launchpad, Comes with 64 trigger pads and 16 buttons which all light up very brightly and powerfully. The Mini also comes with a USB connector cable, a copy of Ableton Live Lite and Sticker labels. Overall the Launchpad Mini for $99 USD, Is the ideal choice if you are going to be travelling a lot or if you are working at a small space like I am.

The Novation Launchpad Mini is the coolest little toy ever. with 64 pads, super bright lights, and 16 buttons on the edge, including User 1 and User 2 mode, its functionality is super high, I couldn't have gotten a better midi controller for this for the budget I have.

Mini is a much better size for this

I did't really like the first original launchpad. Wasn't ideal for playing drums on (neither is the mini) but it's perfect when you're composing and have a lot of clips to deal with. Having your clips spread out across a grid gives you endless ways of improvising and rearranging whether it be your own personal recordings or controlling samples from other music.

I love this thing, its fun as hell. I just can't use it because I can't use ableton because my laptop is trash, but if you can get the regular version :)

Better price/performance ratio than the Launchpad S

The reason why I got this one instead of the S version is because of how small it was. This also works through an Android OTG cable, and it has really low latency.

It integrates with FL Studio better than I could ever dream of, so it's great.

Good for people who are used to Keyboards instead of Pianos.

I had to sell my Launchpad since it was just too big for my hands. Luckily the mini is just the right size for me. It's slightly brighter than its big brother too. Good product.

Small But Awesome

It Just Gotten Myself One Of The Launchpad. In My Opinion It One Of The Best MIDI Controller For A Starter Music Producer Who Like To Launch Sample. And Also I Love The Light Show On The Button Too.

Works great

I like this for what it is. It gets the job done, and opens up a world of new possibilities. However button presses occasionally dont register, or they double register. You get what you pay for though and this is one of the cheapest options, so having considered that - 8/10.
