Awesome piece of kit.

If im going to be honest, this piece is great! It's really great quality and modern design is beautiful, and really showcases the reliability and quality of Novation.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

One thing I do find with it is the it is really more for beats, rather that piano or any sort of guitar or anything like that. Definitely more of a beat pad than a piano, good for little leads but not for full on progressions, given it obviously has nothing to do with musical theory.

Great mobile and performance tool

The minimal profile and high functionality, combined with low cost, makes this an easy recommendation for any musician. I can use with my iPad and Live to write new parts and trigger samples. Easy to throw on a drum set tom and go, fits in my small messenger bag, and doesn't need an external power source when combined with the iPad. Incredibly useful for low profile tactile keys for synths.

cheap, power, midi controller

much better over the mk1, small enough it's very comfortable on the desk and nice and portable if you want this thing to be used on the go. velocity sensitive, rgb for easier "at a glance" control. overall a stellar controller. i also love using this thing as a macro pad if you're techy. love it
