Orange Dual Terror review | Guitar World

The Orange Dual Terror DT30H is a versatile tube amp head that excels in delivering both clean and distorted tones, making it an excellent choice for gigging musicians. Its dual channels and simple controls offer a wide range of sounds, from sparkly cleans to powerful overdrive, all while maintaining that classic British Orange tone. The ability to switch output power is a bonus for home or studio settings. However, the absence of reverb might be a drawback for some. Overall, it's a solid, no-frills amp head that punches well above its price point.

Orange Dual Terror review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Orange Dual Terror DT30H is a powerhouse of tonal versatility, offering genuinely brilliant sounds and features. Its simple control layout—Volume, Tone, and Gain per channel—allows effortless tweaking, and the option to switch between 30, 15, or 7 watts adapts to any gigging situation. The inclusion of two channels, with the Fat channel providing extra low-end and gain, enhances its flexibility for both lead and rhythm playing. While some purists might miss an FX loop or multi-band EQ, the intuitive tone control compensates with ease of use. Overall, the Dual Terror impresses with its robust performance and portable design, making it ideal for gigging musicians seeking powerful and adaptable amplification.

Great overall amp

Great amp for rock and alternative music.A lot of headroom, sounds kinda voxish I run it on the edge of breakup on fat channel and clean on tt channel.Works well with fuzz pedals.Very little compression so it sounds raw, that’s why I love it!

Great amp

I wanted to get a tiny terror, but i needed two channels so i can have a clean and a dirty channel for live use. I like smaller amps like 25-30 watts, because you can push them to the limits while recording and live without busting your hearing. Don't get me wrong its a loud amplifier and has plenty of great features like a switch to 15 watts, as well as the ability to go from four to two valves. All this makes a great difference to the sound. The only issue i've had with this amp is the absence of an fx loop. Either than that it delivers a great clean, crunch and distortion tone. It's not a very high gain amplifier, but you can always boost it with an overdrive pedal, but then again its not meant to be a metal amp. Its perfect for gigs, because its easy to carry and great for recording. I highly recommend it!

Orange Amp Review.

Little amp head nails all the classic british rock tones from the stones to zeppelin with a surprising amount of clean headroom. Amp keeps it simple but has the ability to use only two of its four tubes as well as half or full power to give a range of usable operating volumes. Simple controls make it easy to dial in a good sound with just tone volume and gain knobs. Has ample gain and considerable volume for its size.

Great amp for gigging

Has a great range of crunchy tones and a voxish clean. So nice to lug about for gigs.
