Always On
Personally I think it’s a mistake to use the Black Box Classic as a dirt pedal. I use it as an always on pedal that sweetens the tone and takes an edge off the ice pick highs. When I use it with either of my KT66 amps (Carr Original Mercury 8W or Silktone 1x12 Amp), it sounds like a true Bluesbreaker. Pairs well with boosts and preamps (for me an Xotic EP Boost before the Snouse, and a Benson Preamp after the Snouse). That will get you the Beano tone.

Snouse Blackbox V1 low gain overdrive
My favorite bluesbreaker pedal. I believe it was designed to emulate original marshall bluesbreaker pedal with very reasonable price. It works really well as my low gain overdrive and it is my first gain pedal in the chain. I usually set it the gain knob between 9-10 o'clock, volume around 3-4 o'clock and tone between 11-1 o'clock.
The drawback is probably it has low output and I prefer the gain knob to be kept not higher than 1 o'clock. Also, I prefer to add boost pedal or 2nd stage overdrive after it instead of before. Definitely will stay at my board.
Playing it with Epiphone Les Paul II and Fender Hot Rod Deluxe Amp.
