    Source
  • The Brigadier creates a stereo image without modulation, resulting in a Haas effect rather than traditional ping-pong delay.

    Source
  • A hidden tone control allows users to darken the sound without losing usability, offering a nuanced tonal adjustment.

    Source
  • The Brigadier can achieve up to 5 seconds of delay time and offers control over bucket loss for tailored dirty repeats.

    Source

Couldn't ask for a better bucket style delay!

Strymon are awesome, basically. The sound quality from this pedal is incredible, as is the range of sounds you can get. With the addition of a "favourite" switch you can even save a secondary sound so you can instantly toggle between your two most used effects.

If you ask me, you can never have to many variables in an effect. Strymon give you so much control here you can really personalise your sounds right down to a modulation control for those spacey delays.

The tap tempo switch being built onto the pedal is amazingly convenient, and they've been considerate enough to make it a quiet switch as well as to not be too distracting!

The whole unit is very tidy, very reliable, and built like a tank. I doubt I'll ever be changing my delay pedal!

Cool analog sounding unit

Very cool delay. Warm and spacious. The B level functions add a lot to a simple stomp and allow you to customize your tone. I wish it had a favourite switch included, but that's the only draw back. Tap tempo is really all you need for a delay that sounds this good.

I’ve been using the El Cap and blueSky on my live boards for a few years now. I can’t remember if my first Strymon effect was an El Cap or Brigadier, but there was a time when I was using one of each on my pedalboard. The Brigadier only came off because of real estate needs on the board. I’ve also had a TimeLine on my board, but in the live environment show flow, I prefer the individual effects like El Cap and Brigadier, with their independent specific stomps, knobs, and toggles. The El Cap is on because it’s my favorite sounding vibey delay pedal, I use it with a Favorite Switch set for slapback.

I’ve been tweaking my pedal board lately but right now it is: TC Electronics PolyTune 2 > Teese Real McCoy Custom wah > Earthquaker Devices Gray Channel > MXR Phase 95 > Strymon Brigadier delay > Klon Centaur > Ditto Looper X2. Plus I have the built-in “Transwarp Drive” on my custom Airline. I use it for a boost, or, if the Gray Channel is engaged, to add a little more dirt.
