Visual Sound V2 Comp 66 Pedal Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The Visual Sound V2CMP66 Comp 66 is a standout in the crowded compressor pedal market. Praised for its transparent, warm sound, it provides a studio-like compression that enhances sustain and evens out chord volumes without sacrificing attack, especially at lower settings. With the added versatility of a tone control, it can adapt to different styles, from funk to clean boosts for solos. However, the lack of an attack control might limit some users. Overall, it's a solid choice for those seeking high-quality, variable compression.

I hate how much I love this

I first got this in a trade, and have always hated the way it looks. I've tried replacing it a number of times, but I haven't found anything that I like more. Keeleys, Boss, XPs, etc all fail in shoot outs. It just sounds so good and is so easy to like. I guess I'll just rehouse it.

Very good

There are better ones I know but, this one is very reliable, and has the best buffer of them all. Not much to complain except the fact that for me it only works fine when the compression knob is cranked
