Description

Meet the Walrus Audio Eons 5-state Fuzz Pedal, your all-in-one fuzzbox stompbox that seamlessly bridges the gap between vintage fuzz tones and modern high-gain sounds. This versatile pedal, with its five unique "states", offers a wide range of fuzz tones, each with its own distinct clipping style.

Experiment with a variety of sounds, from the smooth and rounded traditional silicon soft clipping fuzz to a more dynamic germanium soft clipping fuzz. Push further into the hard-clipping silicon transistors combined with LED and silicon soft clipping diodes, resulting in a compressed, loud, and unapologetically rowdy fuzz.

Add more dimension to your sound with the Voltage knob. Starve the circuit down to 3 volts for a sputtering, gated fuzz, or crank it up to 18 volts for a massive, open fuzz sound that will test the limits of any amplifier. This variable voltage control adds a new layer of versatility to this pedal, enabling you to shape the voice of your fuzz to match your musical style.

Key Features:

  • Five distinct fuzz "states" with unique clipping styles.
  • Variable voltage control between 3V and 18V for a range of fuzz tones.
  • Bass, treble, and gain controls for sound sculpting.
  • Can produce a wide variety of fuzz tones, from vintage to modern.
  • Silicon, germanium, and LED clipping styles available.

The Walrus Audio Eons 5-state Fuzz Pedal packs an impressive range of versatility, effectively serving as five pedals in one, perfect for both novices and seasoned players alike. Its innovative voltage control and bass enhancement knob are standout features that cater to a variety of tonal preferences. Walrus Audio Eons Five-State Fuzz Review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Walrus Audio Eons Five-State Fuzz is a highly versatile fuzz pedal that offers a range of tonal options through its five distinct modes and effective EQ controls. Its compact design and solid build quality make it a great addition to any pedalboard. However, while it excels in functionality, the absence of a Blend control, which was featured in previous models, leaves some potential users wanting for more texture in the fuzz. Still, this pedal delivers a plethora of usable sounds, effectively catering to both traditional fuzz lovers and those seeking something more dynamic. It's a commendable choice for musicians who want a comprehensive fuzz experience without the clutter.

Any fuzz tone you like, a bit underwhelming on bass

This pedal will give you any level of fuzz you want, from thunderous and powerful to glitchy and ear piercing. A lot of usable tones in all of the modes, if it had presets ala chase bliss it would be a perfect pedal. After some time I've decided I don't like it much on bass, it's definitely usable but you lose a lot of clarity. In guitar tho it's perfect.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Mode 1, 3 and 4 are all usable at different levels of gain and voltage. Mode 1 is an excellent muff sound and mode 3 is an exquisite distortion.
