Critic Reviews

Yamaha DG Stomp

soundonsound.com

Yamaha's DG Stomp impresses with its sturdy build, extensive controls, and versatile guitar sounds, making it a strong competitor against the Line 6 Pod and J Station. Its built-in footswitches offer great value for live performers, and the overdrive tones shine with low noise levels. However, it falters with weaker clean tones and a subpar compressor. The flimsy power supply also detracts from its stage utility. Overall, it's a cost-effective, all-purpose preamp that excels in both studio and live settings.

Tk has used the Yamaha dg-stomp back when he made Ling tosite sigure but hasn't used it in the band "This is something I used a lot up until recently. It's really been a great help to me. When I play at home, I always play through this. Whether I'm playing it on its own or playing in a compact setup, I need it to get the right sound....sad... I may never use it with Ling Tosite Sigure, but I'll definitely be using it for practice and recording!" But has used it during the December 2020 "acoustique electrick sessions vol.2" which is where the photo is from
