Critic Reviews

AKG K92 review - SoundGuys

soundguys.com

The AKG K92 headphones offer comfort and a handy threaded adapter, but their poor sound quality, awkward cable design, and lack of value make them hard to recommend. Despite AKG's legacy of excellent headphones, the K92 falls short with a muddled frequency response and lackluster audio performance. While comfortable, they feel cheap and struggle to compete with similarly priced products. If you're tempted, it's best to wait for a clearance sale. Otherwise, consider alternatives like the Sony MDR-7506 or AKG's own K361 and K371 models for superior sound and build quality.

AKG's K92 headphones offer a remarkable sound experience at an unbeatable price point. Praised for their smooth, detailed, and dynamic sound, these headphones provide a level of clarity and rhythmic precision that belies their budget-friendly cost. The build quality is impressive, with a comfortable fit and durable design, making them ideal for extended listening sessions at home. While the K92s lack extra features like in-line controls, the focus is on delivering top-notch audio performance, which they excel at. Overall, the K92s are a standout choice for anyone seeking affordable yet high-quality headphones.

AKG K92 review | TechRadar

techradar.com

The AKG K92 headphones deliver impressive sound quality at a budget-friendly price, making them a noteworthy choice for those seeking affordable audio excellence. While the plastic build and non-detachable cable might signal budget constraints, these headphones excel where it counts—offering a balanced and clear sound with comfort for extended use. Their bulky design is more suited for home or studio settings rather than on-the-go listening. Despite some minor design drawbacks, the K92 remains a solid investment, especially for those prioritizing audio performance over luxury aesthetics.

It works!

It's cheap, simple, not the most robust headphones in the market but it works for musicians monitoring what they are recording so it's helpful, so don't expect a pristine quality headphones, the cable it's very thin and it feel very easy to break so you have to be very kind handling them.

Great price, great experience

As far as my experience with headsets go, this s the most telling. Even when not the most in the field of detailed sound, it definitely does the job. Im used to having longer production sessions and while doing so, it never feels uncomfortable nor disturbing. Experience is surprising and lasting. If i was to choose from any headset i've ever had, it'd be this one.
