Critic Reviews

Beats Solo 2 Review

soundguys.com

The Beats Solo 2 headphones, once a hot commodity, now fall short in a crowded market. While they offer a portable design and decent sound quality, they lack modern features, like Bluetooth connectivity, found in newer models. The snug fit may not suit everyone, and the absence of a hard shell case is a missed opportunity. With better options available at similar price points, the Solo 2's are not worth investing in today. Opt for more recent Beats models like the Solo Pro or PowerBeats Pro for a superior experience.

Beats Solo 2 Review | PCMag

pcmag.com

Fans of bass-heavy sound will find the Beats Solo 2 appealing, with its powerful, distortion-free audio and comfortable, lightweight design. While it might not satisfy purists looking for a flat response, the headphones offer a compelling option for those who love booming low-end and bright highs. However, some may find them slightly overpriced, and the big bass isn't ideal for critical listening. Overall, the Solo 2 stands out as one of Beats' more value-driven offerings, despite the premium price tag often associated with the brand.

Beats Solo 2 review: Beats' next-gen on-ear headphone steps up its design and sound - CNET

cnet.com

The Beats Solo 2 is a significant upgrade from its predecessor, offering improved design, sturdier build, and a more balanced sound profile. While the headphones maintain strong, tight bass, the refined audio quality might still not cater to audiophiles. They provide a comfortable, albeit snug fit, with stylish color options and a handy carrying case. However, they are on the pricier side and lack the spacious stereo imaging found in competitors like the Audio Technica ATH-M50x. Ultimately, for those seeking dynamic, bass-forward headphones, the Solo 2 delivers an energetic listening experience.

stylish, punchy, great for noisy places

okay for one... I'd never DJ with these or rely on them for full on mastering but I love these for travel, I love these for on the go mastering and I love them for track prep. They look great, super comfortable and I have actually fallen asleep on the noisiest plane ride ever and didn't hear the guy next to me suck out my soul with his snoring. I got them in luxe blue edition and I think they're awesome!!!
