DryBell Unit67 Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The DryBell Unit67 delivers a potent blend of compression, EQ, and boost inspired by legendary studio gear. Users rave about its transparent compression that enhances tone without overwhelming coloration, alongside intuitive controls that simplify real-time adjustments. However, the fixed attack, release, and compression ratio settings may frustrate those seeking extensive versatility. While it won't replace high-end studio compressors, it effectively captures their essence, making it a worthy investment for musicians looking to streamline their rigs without sacrificing quality. At $289, it presents solid value despite its limitations, positioning it as a compelling option for tone enthusiasts.

Review: DryBell Unit67

guitar.com

A clever tone-improver with a versatile design, the DryBell Unit67 excels in delivering powerful compression, boost, and EQ options, making it a standout for tone shaping. While its one-knob compression might intimidate some, the pedal's intuitive layout and effective range of controls make it easy to dial in great sounds. However, it sacrifices some treble content at higher sustain settings, which can be a drawback for those who prefer brighter tones. Yet, with its rich midrange control and semi-clean boost capabilities, this Croatian gem offers impressive results, justifying its premium price. A must-try for serious tone enthusiasts, but perhaps not for those seeking a simple compressor.

Drybell Unit67 review | Guitar World

guitarworld.com

The DryBell Unit67 is a versatile powerhouse, combining a treble boost, compression, and EQ in one compact pedal, offering studio-quality tones at a great value. Its large boost dial and intuitive layout make it user-friendly, but the mini knobs can be fiddly for some players. Despite this minor inconvenience, it excels in enhancing your guitar's natural sound without overwhelming it, making it a smart addition for any pedalboard.

Drybell Unit67

This pedal wasn't even on my radar for quite some time. I have an Empress Compressor that I've been very happy with, but I was running short on pedalboard space and needed to downsize my board a little to accommodate some new pedals. So I'm going through some Peter Thorn video reviews and like magic, this pedal comes up. It covers the territory of 3 pedals that were previously on my board. It has a fantastic EQ, Treble-boost and 1176 style compressor. ALL IN ONE PEDAL. And it sounds glorious. Provides just the right amount of spank to my guitar sound and I'm not missing the other pedals at all. Drybell is best known for their incredible Vibe Machine pedals, but I'm here to testify that the Unit67 is just as incredible and has booted 3 other quality pedals off my board, and is an "always ON" pedal for me going forward. : )
