EarthQuaker Devices Avalanche Run Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The EarthQuaker Devices Avalanche Run dazzles with its digital versatility and intuitive controls, offering expansive delay and reverb functions that cater to experimental musicians. Its standout features include a reverse delay and expression pedal capability for dynamic sound manipulation. However, its side-mounted expression input may irk some users. While analog purists might find its delays somewhat sterile, the pedal's clarity and seamless blend of effects provide a spacious canvas for creative exploration. Overall, it's a thoughtfully designed tool for those seeking a powerful, multifunctional echo experience.

Test Pilots: EarthQuaker Devices Avalanche Run Part 2

guitar.com

The EarthQuaker Devices Avalanche Run impresses with its versatile delay and reverb features, making it a staple on pedalboards. Its expression pedal compatibility allows for creative control, producing unique soundscapes with ease. However, users should be cautious with power requirements; under-powering can cause tap tempo issues. Despite this minor hiccup, the pedal's innovative capabilities and sound quality make it a must-have for ambient enthusiasts.

Test Pilots: EarthQuaker Devices Avalanche Run Part 1

guitar.com

The EarthQuaker Devices Avalanche Run is a versatile reverb and delay pedal that shines in live settings, delivering beautiful soundscapes with ease. Its user-friendly interface, solid build, and features like tap tempo and silent switching make it stage-ready and reliable. The reverb is particularly lauded for its smooth, non-muddy sound, while the delay, though limited to two seconds, is effective for simpler applications. However, the lack of separate footswitches for reverb and delay and its 100% wet setting issue might be drawbacks for some. Overall, it's an inspiring pedal that stays on the board for good.

Simply the most gorgeous Delay/Reverb I've ever used.

The tonal quality and ease of use of this pedal continues to astound me. The tone of the delays and the reverb are just simply luscious no matter what setting you have it at. This is perhaps one of my favorite musical purchases I've ever had.
