For the price, get it!!!

Probably the only true “distortion” bass pedal that will NOT drop any of your low end. It’s rather simple (3 knobs and a toggle switch for bass boost, normal, and fat I think) but this thing maxed out will let you palm mute, and it’s less than $70, and again made in America!!!

Controversial opinion

I don’t think it’s all that good. I may just have a faulty unit, but my muff hisses like god knows what. I would personally not recommend, and would instead suggest either the bass big muff deluxe, or the Russian big muff.

My favorite distortion pedal.

Three knobs and a three-way switch make this distortion pedal a great choice for any bassist no matter if they're on a budget or not (I got mine used for about $60). Combined with the wah pedal I have, it sounds great and is perfect for any rock or metal due to its versatile sound (something I love to find in instruments, amps and effects).

Flexible

Awesome pedal for the price point. Tons of flexibility from the knobs and toggle switch. The added separate dry output is awesome for recording. This is a great pedal for a bassist who wants some bite/sustain with the added possibility of recording.

I use this on my bass for a lovely sculpted and resonant fuzz sound. I also make extensive use of the dual output on synths, specifically 303 sounds pulling the sound from the Big Muff on to one channel, and routing the dry out into another distortion that fills the higher frequencies, to double track the sound.

A great heavy pedal. Also works with guitar.

While I don't play bass, I do find this pedal to be great if you want to play with a very heavy tone. I'm pretty sure I bought this before my band played the song "When God Comes Back" by All Them Witches at a show. If you want to know what this pedal can do, listen to that song.

One of my favourite distorsions

This pedal can give you the heaviest, filthiest tone you can get on a bass, but also add just a little of dirt with the switch set to dry, maintaining your signal unaltered. This is a must have pedal if you plan to crush everyone's lungs and teeth

You can't really argue against this pedal - it does what it's meant to do with just enough controls to remain versatile. I'll check back to rate the durability in 10 years time. See you then!

An extra plus is that it sounds great through a guitar :)
