Lightest guitar I've ever played....lighter than a Parker Fly
I LOVE this guitar. This is one of my favorites in my entire collection and what's hilarious is that it was built with all the parts Gibson/Epiphone either didn't want or had too much of so they threw together using said parts and presto! While it didn't sell very well at all upon it's initial release, people quickly caught on once they heard one or better yet, played one. This is a VERY unique sounding, feeling, etc guitar.

Another fun affordable reissue of an Epi Classic
I have the late 2000's reissue in blue, used it in a few live shows but it is primarily a home studio/rehearsal axe

Easily playable and thick tone
I bought this guitar in 2012 as far I can remember. I bought it off Van McCann from Catfish and the Bottlemen. The guitar itself has a thick tone, it's very light and it's really easy to get to the highest frets

so you have a vintage one, not an RI? I swear they did a far east RI of this a few years ago, maybe I am wrong....

I have a vintage. Haven't played the RI personally but I know about it. Personally I'm the type of guitarist that seeks to get the exact sound of my favorite guitarists so I find out what equipment they have from top to bottom and try to get it all LOL! I got my JCM 800 & first Talman because Tom Morella had them. Mike Stroud from Ratatat has played a 66' Wilshire his entire career so when I heard Ratatat for the first time I needed to achieve that guitar sound. Now that I've had it for years, went to Berklee for Production & Engineering and have since been further educated on sound design I realize the guitar has little to do with his particular sound. With him it's more so the effects & processing. He has a very cool recording technique where he writes a guitar part, plays the notes backward into Logic, then reverses the waveform so the attack is like an envelope effect. That and his Octavia & Whammy pedal are used to get that harmonized 3 guitars at once sound. I have a whammy 4 but I need a Whammy 5 + I cheaped out and got a Boss PS-6 instead of the Octavia. Now I'm gunning for an Octavia and an Eventide.

I thought the Japanese Epiphones were made so well. I also have a bunch of Wilshires and a couple of Japanese Rivieras.
