Critic Reviews

Champ 25 SE Review: Best trade I ever made. I like to play rock, blues,... | Fender | Guitar Amplifiers | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The Fender Champ 25 SE is a nostalgia-inducing gem, praised for its crystal-clear clean channel that showcases the classic Fender warmth and chime. Its versatility in sound makes it a favorite for genres ranging from rock to jazz. However, the distortion channel is less impressive, often described as harsh and requiring a pedal for more refined tones. The amp's U.S. craftsmanship shines in its sturdy build and quality sound projection, making it a reliable gig partner. While the distortion could be improved, the clean tones alone justify the purchase, making it unfortunate that Fender discontinued this model.

Fender Champ 25 SE

Purchased used in Pittsburgh in 2013, this amplifier has wonderful cleans. The amp has built in reverb and some grit from the dirty channel. Fully tube.

that's a rarity! you don't see a lot of the 80s tube 'champs'

nicholas_poprocky

Got very lucky to find it when I did. Happened to come across it not even shopping for myself and it sounded great. It's easy to sound good on.
