GIBSON ALL AMERICAN II electric guitars

guitar-list.com

The Gibson All American II, a 90s gem, shines with its unique blend of features uncommon for Gibson, like 24 frets and a Strat-style tremolo, offering an intriguing sonic palette. While praised for its playability and versatile tone, critiques highlight tuning instability with the stock tremolo and pickups that lack punch. Modding potential is a strong point, with changes like P-90 pickups bringing it to life for rock and blues. Its aesthetic divides opinion, with some seeing it as a beauty in its Wineburst finish, while others find it plain. Overall, a solid choice for those willing to tweak.

I never liked this when it was my friend's

this was my bassists 1st Gibson and I used it when my special wasin the shop sometimes and HATED it.... but now that I have it on a trade? I like it. I wanna mod the bridge to a PAF style with a coil tap for humbucking coil tapped middle position and then it will kill it. Might try brass saddles and block too. Truth be told I have had this for ages but haven't touched it much for 6 months. I am sure I will joanjett her and be into it. She has a great feel with 10s and 11s. Strat whammy on a Jr?! YEAH
