Artist usage
Add artistJohn Fogerty has recently incorporated the Gibson Les Paul Custom Axcess (Ebony) with a Floyd Rose into his musical repertoire, a custom request he made to Gibson for use in performances requiring a whammy bar. This addition to his gear was showcased during his appearance at the Beach Life Festival, as documented in a video available on YouTube.
Josh Middleton talks about this guitar in this YouTube video.
In an Instagram that has since been deleted (https://www.instagram.com/p/BK8FQZxghy6/), he said:
Ok so I still want to try and sell my Les Paul Axcess Custom. I never play it and there's no point in hanging onto material possessions for the sake of it. This is an extremely rare guitar. Only a limited run of Axcess Custom models were made in each finish. Ideally cash upon collection from here in Reading! Sensible offers only please.
Over the course of his career, Gillis has used several different models of guitars by various brands. He has been a longtime user of Fender Stratocasters and Telecasters, and in the '80s played largely on Jackson Soloists and Kramer models, which he still periodically uses today. He has also used various guitars made by Gibson as well, most notably Les Pauls and Flying Vs, as well as various PRS models. Today he uses mostly a Fernandez Brad Gillis model, or a replica built by Brad Kelley.
Teemu Mäntysaari used a Gibson Les Paul Custom Axcess (Ebony) while performing "Peace Sells" with Megadeth on stage, as seen in the ARTE Concert recording of their Hellfest 2024 performance.
