JAM Pedals - Delay Llama XTREME Review | Is it the perfect analog delay pedal? — SINESQUARES

sinesquares.net

The Delay Llama Xtreme is a delightful blend of simplicity and versatility, boasting four innovative XTREME modes that truly elevate its analog delay capabilities. From adding a vibrant lushness to guitar and synths alike, to the charming unpredictability of its Random mode, this pedal opens a world of creative potential. However, while the pedal's straightforward interface is a plus, the Random mode's chaotic nature might leave some players feeling lost. Overall, it’s a standout choice for anyone seeking a quality analog delay that’s both inspiring and user-friendly, making it a worthy addition to any pedalboard.

JAM Pedals Delay Llama Xtreme Review | GuitarPlayer

guitarplayer.com

The Delay Llama Xtreme is a powerhouse of analog delay, offering a rich palette of inspirational tones that range from lush echoes to chaotic pitch-shifting madness. With features like tap tempo and hold mode, it’s designed for creative exploration, and the warm analog sound shines through regardless of setting. While it lacks any significant drawbacks, some users might wish for more control options, like a wet/dry mix adjustment. However, the overall execution and musicality make it a standout choice for any guitarist looking to elevate their sound.

Beautiful analog sounds and inspires playing

This is one of the most beautiful analog delays I’ve ever played. Even without the modulation it is worth the price of admission. But the four different styles of modulation add something special, and the ability to save and recall the four presets on the pedal is wonderful and not too much as too be overwhelming. Highly recommend to anyone who like analog delays.

Daniel Kim has recently used this jam delay pedal, from 2025-2026 I'd assume depending on which gig he play's he changes it to another pedal, but this specifically isn't like his other digital delay pedals, but mixing analog and delay, to get that texture.
