Features and functionality
-
The CBM95 has a hidden voicing switch inside with L/M/H settings, allowing tonal customization that isn't available on full-sized models.
Source -
The mini's voicing switch options (L/M/H) provide tonal variations that mimic both vintage Vox and modern wah sounds.
Source -
The Classic model has op-amp in/out buffers, whereas the mini features only a transistor input buffer, impacting tonal and volume characteristics.
Source -
Both the Classic and mini wahs are expected to have the Red Fasel inductor, but differences here could account for tonal variations.
Source -
The pedal draws only 0.9mA, allowing long battery life when unplugged, with users reporting extended use since early 2019 without battery change.
Source -
Owners appreciate the internal three-position switch for tonal customization, with some preferring the low setting for better fuzz interaction.
Source
User experience
-
The mini's smaller size results in a shorter, more abrupt travel, which some users adjust to by rocking from the heel instead of the toe.
Source -
Some users report the mini wah sounds like a high-pass filter, with volume drops and reduced bass, unlike the Classic's slight solo boost.
Source -
Some users find it beneficial to mount the mini wah on a riser to prevent accidental engagement of other pedals due to its small footprint.
Source -
The mini wah can feel fiddly for some, requiring precise foot placement to find the sweet spot, especially compared to full-sized models.
Source
Use cases and applications
-
Placing the mini wah at the start of the pedal chain helps preserve the character of fuzz effects, a preference for some users.
Source -
The true bypass feature on the mini model is a significant improvement over the GCB95, especially when running it before fuzz pedals.
Source -
Despite its compact size, the CBM95 works well on Nano+ boards, but consider foot placement on larger boards as it might not save much space.

Good vintage wha sound
Classic wha in a compact format. Fits every pedalboard. Great sound with a little footprint!

The classic Wah, only more practically sized
I've used a Dunlop Cry Baby 535q Wah right from the begging of my musical journey, it was one of my very first pedals. But sentimentality aside I knew my sound was changing and my pedals were growing more in numbers and hauling a giant pedalboard + a giant wah around gig to gig can grow old quickly. Enter the Dunlop Cry Baby Mini, Bam! All those issues went out the window. 3 settings inside the wah, High, Middle and Low will allow the user to find their own wah sound, for extra usability I use this pedal in loop with my Boss LS-2 Line Selector to give my wah sound an extra push in volume and it makes it easier to switch it on and off with the LS-2 switch more so than the Cry Baby Mini's !Click!, Though that one minor quibble aside this pedal Rocks!

Need a Wah just 'Cus?
If you're looking for a wah pedal that gives you wah and don't want to spend a ton of money and tie up a fifth of your pedal board, this thing is perfect.
Literally no frills. It has decent sweep and the smaller size is actually pretty easy to get used to. Seems nearly indestructible.
I almost want to give it 3 stars because it doesn't have an LED to indicate that it is on. What year is it? Must we continue to live as savages?

True bypass...
I always wanted a Vox, but I learned about the hardwire bypass on Vox wahs, and experienced heavy volume drop with them... so I went with this one. Now I am using the "V" setting, after a few years of goung with the "L" setting. Plus it is compact and true bypass. The only downsides - no led (maybe its a plus?) and the need to use a screwdriver to get tom the settings switch.

Best Way I've Heard
I love this pedal. Took a while to get used to the size of it and how to position your foot so you'd get the full sweep. The 3 settings are a great feature however you have to take the bottom off it in order to access the switch. A stupid design fault in my opinion. Still, I'd not leave for a gig without it!

Tiny!
I'm not a big fan of wah pedals. I own one because me and my band have a couple of songs where I use it. It's kind of hard to controle due to the size, but it saves a lot of space on your pedalboard!

Great Wah in a small package
Honestly just a great relatively cheap wah that has a fantastic sweep and is the perfect size for smaller pedalboards. Nothing more to say, great pedal.
