Marshall's Twin Reverb (but with an edge)
I first came across one of these in a recording studio. No-one there could remember what it was, only that it was a brilliant amp but relatively rare. I used it for those recording sessions and fell in love with its sound. It's not far off a Twin Reverb but when the gain is up it sits just at the edge of some lovely warm growl, like what you might get out of a Fender Deluxe. A Tele sounds extremely good through this amp - just a little bit of crunch but clean enough that everything still sang out. Highly recommended
