Jack Deville Buzzmaster Fuzz Pedal Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The Mr Black Jack Deville BuzzMaster is a fuzz pedal that delivers a wide range of fuzz tones, channeling the essence of vintage Big Muffs and Super Fuzzes with a unique twist. Its standout feature is the heavy octave sound at high-gain settings, offering a distinct voice that can cut through any mix. The pedal's simple control layout hides a complex and dynamic sound palette, making it versatile for various musical styles. However, it may be best suited for use with clean amps, as things can get chaotic with high-gain amplifiers. While the BuzzMaster excels in delivering powerful fuzz, those seeking subtler tones might find it too aggressive. Overall, this pedal is a great choice for musicians looking to add a bold, multi-voiced fuzz to their setup.

Great Fuzz.

I would usually have a Lovetone Big Cheese in this spot on my pedal board but I lost mine along the way. Until I get it back I have tried a few very nice fuzzies. This one reacts the best to my style of playing and expression. It can get way out of hand on the higher Vig setting which sound awesome with the Gr300 - real ear burning noise that breaks up at the end so terrifically - the root of that word being 'terror'. With a lower guitar volume it sings of things from a more hazed out time when a great band and projections of liquid light where enough to change the world.
