Native Instruments Traktor Scratch Pro 2 Review – DJBooth

djbooth.net

The Native Instruments Traktor Scratch Pro 2 impresses with its robust four-deck control, improved sound quality, and a suite of new software features like colored waveforms and sample decks, which offer creative possibilities for DJs. The simplified setup with RCA connections and the solid build quality further enhance its appeal. However, the absence of a parallel waveform display and an additional USB port for dual computer connectivity are notable drawbacks. Despite these, the system remains a top choice for DJs eager to leverage innovative live remixing capabilities without breaking the bank.

First Traktor Audio Box

After making a switch from Serato to Traktor, I've decided to upgrade from an SL2 to an A10. The only down side to me is that it requires a power supply, unlike the Serato audio boxes which can work solely via USB. Aside from that, it's definitely worth picking up, generally I find the audio quality much better than Serato's. Along with that, pricing. An SL4 would cost significantly more than an A10 and the A10 essentially does more than the SL4 has to offer.

Reliable interface

Rugged and reliable interface. The LEDs are very clear. Too bad it doesn't work without a power adapter.
