Orange Crush 35RT Amp Review, What's the verdict? - 4Guitar.co.uk

4guitar.co.uk

The Orange Amplifiers Crush 35RT is a standout in the affordable amp market, packing 35 Watts of robust Orange tone into a versatile and portable package. Its two channels deliver both crisp clean and overdriven sounds, enhanced by a warm digital reverb and built-in chromatic tuner. While the aux input and the dirty channel's fuzziness are minor drawbacks, the amp's affordability, tube-like sound, and ease of use make it a favorite among users. Ideal for practice and small gigs, it offers a compelling mix of features and quality sound that punches well above its price point.

Orange Crush 35RT review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Orange Amplifiers Crush 35RT delivers classic British rock tones and modern features in a compact, affordable package. With its solid build and two-channel design, this amp is perfect for home practice or small gigs. The digital reverb and tuner add value, and it convincingly emulates the sound of much larger amps. While it lacks the touch response of valve amps, its consistency and portability make it a compelling choice for musicians. Overall, the Crush 35RT is a well-rounded, budget-friendly amp that offers excellent tone and reliability.

Awesome crunch tones and features

The orange crush 35rt ticks a lot of boxes for a cheap amp. Varied and legitimate crunch and dirty tones are the name of the game for this amp. The dirty tones are where this amp excels, however the trade off for this is the lack of any sparkling clean tones. Although there is two channels, I find myself only ever using the dirty channel and turning the gain up and down.

The reverb works as intended and provides great depth to the amps tones. The tuner is a bit hit or miss in my use, it will sometimes struggle to get the pitch correct and is not as accurate as alternatives.

All the knobs and coverings feel very high quality and there are no complaints there. The bottom line is: this amp is great for a home practice amp if you love a very dirty sound. Do not buy this amp if you are looking for bell-like 'Fender' tones.

A Fuzzy Orange is still better 'n scurvy!

My choice for first practice amp was a no-brainer. Well, I was tempted by the Tiny Terror or Micro Dark, but it made more sense for me to have this handy combo. I'm not disappointed, the dirty gain gives me just enough fuzz to tie me over until I dive down into the pedal/fuzz box rabbithole. The headphone jack sounds great through my beyerdynamic DT1990 Pro for late-night practice sessions. I have not had the occasion to use the effects loop yet, but it's comforting that's there, waiting.

dima_povalyaev

Best bang for your buck practice amp.

Classic orange tones in a compact amp. Dirty channel gain is great, built in reverb is a nice touch and saves me having to buy a pedal. Louder than I expected (not a bad thing) so I keep the volume low which alters the tone for the worse in my opinion. Would recommend for practice or small bar type gigs.

victor_ting

A boost of Vitamin C for your tone.

I used this amp with my Line 6 Firehawk FX. Just great great great tone. This specific model is the highest end within the range and has 35 watts of power which I thought at first, would be small, would be not that loud, but when I received it I was like holly molly, it's actually huge! And when I plugged it in, lol... The floor is shaking a little in my room.

My second amp and it has done me well so far. I wasn't into pedals at the time and was looking for ways to get effects. This did the job.
