Critic Reviews

Review: Way Huge Smalls Aqua-Puss Delay, Smalls Blue Hippo Chorus and Smalls Russian Pickle Fuzz | Guitar World

guitarworld.com

The Way Huge Smalls Blue Hippo Chorus impresses with its compact design while maintaining the same beloved vintage tones as its larger predecessor. It delivers a rich, gooey chorus and swirling vibrato, reminiscent of classic sounds from icons like Andy Summers and Alex Lifeson. However, some might find it lacks the crystalline shimmer of other chorus pedals. Despite this, its versatility and pedalboard-friendly size make it a fantastic choice for fans of classic chorus and vibrato effects. Overall, it's a hit for those seeking vintage tones in a smaller package.

don't hesitate

I was a little hesitant with this one, I read plenty of reviews and watched videos where a lot of people mentioned that the pedal is super noisy. This has NOT been my experience at all. I'm playing a cheap telecaster with single coils and I'm not getting any noise. Maybe there was a bad batch? Or maybe people are using it in strange spots in their signal chain? All I'm getting out of it is a great classic chorus sound and the best vibrato tone I've ever heard. Tremendous.
