Description

Unleash your tone's potential with the Boss BD-2W Blues Driver Waza Craft, a premium reincarnation of the classic overdrive pedal. This meticulously crafted stompbox offers a refined experience for musicians seeking ultimate customized tone. Its all-analog circuitry faithfully reproduces the classic BD-2 grit in Standard mode, while the Custom mode opens up a world of new tonal possibilities.

The BD-2W is a testament to the dedication of Boss engineers in achieving the finest tones through the fusion of old-school analog design and modern innovation. Each pedal is handcrafted in Japan to exacting quality standards, and tested rigorously to deliver exceptionally rich and touch-responsive overdrive sounds.

Switch between Standard and Custom modes to explore a variety of tones. The Standard mode delivers the iconic warm and natural overdrive that made the original BD-2 a favorite among musicians. The Custom mode, on the other hand, enhances the pedal's gain range and alters its frequency response, resulting in a fuller tone with enhanced body and sustain—perfect for contemporary blues and rock styles.

Like all Boss compact pedals, the BD-2W is built to withstand the rigors of the road. Its compact size and robust metal chassis ensure durability, while the user-friendly controls make for easy operation.

really usable overdrive

Simple to use, personally I use the custom mode with the gain at 10 or 11 o'clock and the tone always at 12 o'clock or below. It can be dialled in as a good clean boost and if you want a fuzzy rock device, I am happy using it as a Bluesy type overdrive. Extremely touch sensitive which is it's strong point, it is also very responsive to your guitar's volume knob.

If you don't have lots of pedals then this will cover your boost/overdrive/fuzz sounds in one box, extremely versatile, really usable overdrive.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Level - 11o'clock, Tone 11 o'clock, Gain 10-2 o'clock but normally around 12.

bankyvee

Versatile tones from a drive pedal

Full range of clean, transparent drive to a crunchy, med. gain overdrive. The Waza custom switch allows for a fatter, fuller low and mid response. Excellent sounds with no fizzy issues on the high settings or muddiness in the lows.

raspad_atoma

The best BD money can buy

This is the same sparkling BD sound, but clearer and more transparent. Plus - improved buffer and custom mode if you want to play solo (I never use it, but why not).

F

Favorite Drive

Versatile and sounds great. It can go from a boost to a massive Marshallesque just by changing the Gain knob.

E

Great pedal

The Blues Driver is a classic and I had to have this version to match up with my Waza SD. I like the custom mode which adds a bit more bottom and grit.

The Bassier BD-2

Not much bassier than Keeley Phat mod. That’s what I really love. Awesome

ginoinzo

Best transparent OD

My favorite tone enhancer, I use it on clean sound with OD dialed all the way back. Perfect for my bassy/low-end tone

E

Its a bd2.... but with a switch that makes it better

Its a classic boss bd2 but with another switch which fattens the sound up ever so slightly. I use it as a slight gain/crunch boost but also as a strat fattener.

Best pedal

Amazing drive, great distortion too. Sounds great stock and even better with the Craft mode on

Speaking of guitars, I’d love to know what you used to make the record and what you’re planning to gig with.

I don’t have a ton of gear. I have a Jazz Chorus Roland amp, and I have a few pedals: a Blues Driver, a reverb pedal, a chorus pedal, and a standard reverb pedal. I’d like a distorted fuzzy pedal next.
