Nice one !

DigiTech pedals are becoming vintage these days! It is certainly not as good or versatile than modern delays but you can get so many lovable sounds and noises. It has its own personality, and it is not necessarily for everyone! And indeed the tap tempo and the loop function are almost useless on this one… But I do like it, especially on bass.

Delay sounds are great - Delay is useless

The delay sounds are great and the pedal works as advertised. That said, can't stand the looper. to use it you have to hold the pedal down and then realease it.Your timing has to be perfect and frankly can be tricky with this kind of pedal.

good reverse reverb and splitter

good delay out of a great series. I use it for the reverse setting and as a splitter. have used it happily together with many rack reverbs, for example as a dual out delay in front dual input rack reverbs. reliable workhorse.

Not the best out there but you can't beat it for the used price.

I wanted a delay for my bass but wasn't gonna spend 150 bucks for something I'd seldom use. Was able to get one of these for 40 bucks and it is good enough for me.

jozsef_venczeli

i love this pedal.

i love that it keeps repeating the delays when swithced off. this way i can easily choose parts to be repeated while im playing. and the 1-4s setting started at 3 o'clock an then moved to 5 (max) lets you creating interesting overlaps. it is similar to the looper but a litle less predictable and has some nice surprises! plus the whole thing is relatively cheap, simple and sound good. great pedal.

versatile and easy to use digital delay

I've had this a while now and still find new uses for it. The reverse setting is uncharacteristically usable. Time is very tweakable and it's a bargain for a stereo delay pedal of this build quality. My favourite setting is the tape delay, you won't find any other digital delays with a tape delay setting this convincing in this price range. Modulated setting is also fun and the short looper makes for great little glitchy effects. And yes, it self-oscillates. Perfect OK COMPUTER-in-a-box delay pedal that still holds up in 2021.

lost_in_reverb

Nice delays and even with looper

This pedal was my first approach to looping,it´s 4 seconds of loop obviously are really poor and limiting but it was a fantastic way of learning, also the modulate delay is gorgeous, really cool pedal.

Good alternative

All modes are usable to any needs. Also, you can have that stuttering effect same to Boss DD-3 but not convenient as it does.

velibor_nikolic

My delay since 2005.

Love on the first sight. Bought it somewhere in 2004. This baby changed my perspective of guitar playing. I use it almost always. Love its sound and manipulation, it`s not too experimental, but the delay itself does the job perfectly.

Review

It's a delay pedal, not the greatest but still is really good doing its job. Part of the X-series it has 7 different modes.

“Hazel uses a Vox AC15 and I use a VOX AC30. My pedalboard hasn’t changed very much since the first record,” says Gregory. “I’ve got two pedals I’ve been meaning to replace forever – a DigiTech DigiDelay and a DigiVerb. I’ve used them for years and know them really well. You can buy them for about £40, but they just really seem to fit. I use a cello bow, with the DigiVerb turned up all the way, a Maxon OD9 and the DigiDelay, and it makes this massive sound.

I don’t normally use pedals, but I’ve been doing this sort of experimental/psychedelic project with Brian Kassan (who I played with in the band Chewy Marble). For that, I’ve been using the Bootzilla Snarling Dogs Bass Wah Wah, Boss Bass Overdrive, Digitech Digidelay and a Behringer Ultra Tremelo pedal.

I prefer the flashback pedal. But this one does the trick. That said the flashback is probably double the price.
