This item is not to be confused with the White Triple-Pickup SG Custom used on to preform on the Jay Leno Show in 1997.
Dave Murray used the Gibson SG Custom Triple-Pickup (Duplicate) on the album Killers and recently brought it out during the Future Past Tour for the song "Wasted Years," as evidenced by an image available on Equipboard.
He can be seen palying an sg custom at Pink Pop festival in the Neatherlands, and at the 2016 SXSW Film and Intrerative festival on the Easy Tiger Patio in Austin, Texas. During the songs “get into yours” & “if I think” live at the reading festival in 1992 mark arm plays a white Gibson SG les Paul custom and he directly refers to it at 8:44 in the video when a crowd goer throws mud at it.
Terry Kath used this SG for CTA's first album Chicago Transit Authority 1969. The SG Terry recorded CTA with was a 1963 Standard (not a Custom).
Sometime in 1968, Mike acquired a Gibson SG Custom, complete in a white finish, gold hardware, and the three humbucker pickup configuration (with similar likeness to Tony Iommi's Custom SG). The first and most well-known appearance of this Custom SG is during the live concert in the Head film, mainly in the song Circle Sky. From 1968 and onwards, Mike would use this guitar during the last few years of The Monkees and the first few years of his National band.
Unfortunately, in the early 1970s, Mike's SG Custom would be stolen from a club in the San Fernando Valley, and since then is not seen.
